The Camellia: Seventeen Years On
When we first explored the Camellia within the Choo Yilin universe in 2009, we were drawn to its enduring beauty: the sculptural curve of its petals and its long history across couture and jewellery.
Seventeen years later, the Camellia returns. The flower is familiar, although what we see in it has changed.
What We Came to See Differently
As Choo Yilin grew alongside the women who chose our jewellery, we watched their lives change too. Our pieces marked celebrations, while also accompanying women through periods when they were finding their way back to parts of themselves that had been set aside.
Over time, we began to see the Camellia differently. Its beauty lay in the way it opened generously while holding its own form.

Reimagined Through Warisan
For The Flowers We Inherited, the Camellia returns as the newly unveiled Royal Warisan Camellia collection. This new interpretation brings the flower into Choo Yilin’s Warisan design language for the first time.
Built Around Apple-Green Jade
At the heart of each piece sits luminous Type A apple-green jadeite, far larger than the cabochons we have traditionally used.
A gently curved diamond halo and intricate milgrain detailing frame the jade in 18KT gold. Diamond-studded botanical leaves unfold beneath it, building the Camellia through sculptural layers of petals and finely worked metal.
What Changed Since 2009
The original Camellia recorded what Choo Yilin admired in the flower in 2009. The Royal Warisan Camellia holds what the house has learned in the seventeen years since: loving others and remaining connected to oneself can belong within the same life.
Chosen today, the Camellia will gather the story of the woman who wears it. If it passes into another woman’s hands one day, she may give the flower a meaning of her own.
From 31 October to 2 November 2026, a limited selection from the new Royal Warisan Camellia Collection will debut as part of The Flowers We Inherited digital trunk show.
