How do I find out my bangle size?
We’ve put together some tips here to help you determine your bangle size. Please get in touch with us on Instagram if you need a hand — we’re always happy to assist.
how do i find out my ring size?
Here are a few ways to find out:
Method 1: Measure the internal diameter of a ring you own and Google “ X mm→ US ring size”.
Method 2: Use a piece of string or dental floss and a ruler. Simply wrap the string or floss around the thickest part of the finger you’d like to wear the ring on, and either cut or mark the string. Then measure it with the ruler. Google “X mm→ US ring size”.
Method 3: If you’re shopping at a jeweller for another piece of jewellery, you can ask them to measure your US ring size.
Method 4: If you want the ring to be a surprise, you can purchase it at any size and have a local jeweller resize it up or down. We’ve designed our rings such that it should be a straightforward process.
What if my ring size isn’t available?
We’ve designed our rings with resizing in mind. If your size isn’t listed, you can still place your order. Our trusted third-party artisan can have it adjusted to your size. Simply reach out to us with your order number, and we’ll share the details to get everything sorted smoothly.
The Estate pieces - FAQ
What are Estate Pieces?
The Estate Pieces come from the brand’s Estate Library, its archives of antiques and vintage pieces collected and restored over the years.
These pieces are restored to reflect our stories across time and continents. In true Choo Yilin style, we have woven them with Type A jadeite, pearls, and diamonds. Each piece is the only one of its kind in the world. A closer look at these pieces can be found in the digital gallery.

How do you verify the authenticity of the Estate pieces?
Each Estate Piece undergoes testing at a laboratory to ensure the precious metal content and authenticity of the precious stone.
We acquire these pieces only from trusted establishments that have been around for a long time, some having been in the family for over four generations. Through the years, we have done plenty of independent research and study, sometimes through books written by experts in the field of estate jewellery. We also consult thought leaders in this space — ex-museum curators, art historians, and auction house specialists.
Will my Estate piece come with a certificate?
A digital certificate will be issued with each purchase of jewellery from Choo Yilin’s Estate Collection. It will detail the following information:
(i) Which era the piece was created in (e.g. late Victorian, Georgian etc)
(ii) The precious gemstones used (e.g. old mine cut diamonds)
(iii) The precious metal used (e.g. 15KT gold)
The digital certificate will be emailed to you within 14 working days of purchase.
How does Choo Yilin pick the estate pieces?
We have three key criteria:
(i) How it resonates with the signature Choo Yilin aesthetic;
(ii) That each piece holds a rich story of shared heritage;
(iii) The piece must be functional and timeless for the 21st Century lifestyle and beyond.
Can I wear estate pieces that are over 100 years old?
Yes, of course! These are old pieces - many over 100 years old, so nicks, scratches, and beautiful oxidation are par for the course. Each piece has been chosen to ensure wearability. We have also worked to create some design and functional tweaks, allowing the new owner of the pieces to wear them in multiple ways.
Will the Estate pieces go up in value over time?
Historically, fine jewellery, both modern and estate, has demonstrated a tremendous increase in price over the decades. This makes it a popular alternative asset class for investors and collectors.
There are many factors in determining value and pricing. Very briefly, we will document some of them here:
(i) Age;
(ii) Scarcity;
(iii) Provenance;
(iv) Brand - signed pieces from established houses can go for a lot more than a similar piece that’s unsigned.
We have started to create articles about the fundamentals of fine jewellery so that people can make more informed decisions about their purchases. Ultimately, jewellery is as much about appreciating the piece on a deeply emotional level as it is about purchasing for investment purposes. We recommend that people only purchase items that speak to them deeply on a personal level.
