The Cherry Blossom: Holding a Fleeting Moment
When we first introduced the Cherry Blossom Collection in 2013, we were drawn to the idea of preserving one of nature’s most transient flowers in natural Type A jadeite and coloured gemstones.
At the time, we understood the cherry blossom primarily as a symbol of fleeting beauty. Over the years, we began to understand why women returned to them so often.

Certain seasons of our lives bloom briefly too. A wedding day that marks years of becoming. A child suddenly old enough to leave home. A chapter of womanhood we only fully understand once we have moved beyond it.
Perhaps that is why cherry blossoms have resonated across generations. Not because they last, but precisely because they do not. They remind us to notice what is here while it is still here.
Holding What Cannot Last
Across families and generations, women have always found ways to keep what mattered close.
A piece of jewellery worn every day. A letter tucked away for decades. A photograph carefully preserved. A story repeated so often that it eventually becomes part of the family itself.
The Cherry Blossom Collection was born from this same instinct: the desire to hold a fleeting moment a little longer.
Some moments become precious because we know they cannot be held forever. But they can be remembered.
A Fleeting Flower, Made to Endure
Throughout the collection, Sakura blooms in 18K gold alongside natural Type A jadeite and precious gemstones in shades of blush, champagne, lavender and pale green. Petals appear at different stages of bloom, recalling cherry blossoms suspended somewhere between arrival and disappearance.
At the heart of many of these pieces is natural Type A jadeite, a material treasured across generations in many Asian families and often associated with continuity, memory and inheritance.
Placed together, the two create a beautiful tension. The cherry blossom reminds us that a moment will pass. Jade asks what we might carry forward from it.
Jewellery for the Moments We Want to Remember
Over the years, women have chosen pieces from the Cherry Blossom Collection to mark weddings, anniversaries and quieter milestones known perhaps only to themselves.
That has gradually become the collection's truest meaning. Life changes while we are living it, and some moments ask to be honoured before they pass.
It is one of the earliest floral chapters in the Choo Yilin archive, and an enduring reminder to honour what is beautiful while it is still ours to hold.
