The Jade Clover Collection: Bridal Jewellery, Jade Bangles, and Gold Heirlooms
The Jade Clover Collection marks a milestone for Choo Yilin. For the first time since 2018, we’ve created a fully-fledged wedding collection: a complete suite that includes a ring, a pair of earrings, a necklace, and, of course, our most iconic piece — not one, but two jade bangles.
Across many cultures, wedding jewellery is more than adornment — it’s a gesture of love, a gift of protection, and a symbol of continuity. For brides with Chinese heritage, this set echoes the tradition of Si Dian Jin (四点金) — translated as Four Pieces of Gold — a treasured custom symbolising support and new beginnings. But this isn’t a tradition bound to one culture alone. It's a language of care and legacy that resonates across borders.
The Cultural Significance of the Jade Clover Motif
The design anchoring this collection is what we universally know as the Four Leaf Clover — a four-lobed motif that everyone associates with luck and beauty.
Growing up in Singapore, especially in the Joo Chiat neighbourhood where Choo Yilin once had its atelier, we saw the four-lobed motif everywhere: carved into wooden shutters, embedded across ceramic floor tiles, peeking through floral latticework on heritage shophouses. To us, it felt like a symbol rooted deeply in our identity, an indisputable icon of the Straits Chinese world. Our beloved Choo Yilin icon was an ethereal, organic interpretation of this motif.
Tiles in the UNESCO Heritage neighbourhood of Joo Chiat, where our founder, Yilin, and her family has lived for five generations.
But as we travelled, studied, and designed, we discovered the motif wasn’t just ours.
We found it in Chinese temple architecture, Gothic cathedrals in Europe, Moorish palaces in North Africa, and Indian Mughal jali screens. The same elegant geometry, interpreted in vastly different ways, yet always evoking the same emotions: balance, beauty, and timelessness. In nature, we see it in four-leaf clovers.
And we realised something profound — what we thought was uniquely ours, was also part of yours. It’s a motif that transcends geography, faith, and culture — an eternal shape that invites everyone in.
Our Interpretation: The Jade Clover Collection
With that realisation in our hearts, we created the Jade Clover Collection — our homage to the quatrefoil, reimagined through the artistic lens of Choo Yilin.

You’ll see all our signature details here:
A bark-like texture to reflect our continued inspiration from nature
Delicate milgrain that nods to vintage heirlooms
Textured 18KT rose gold, shaped to resemble leaves and petals, full of warmth with subtle depth
Tiny melee diamonds, placed all over with intent
And of course, our signature use of Type A jade, chosen for its storied past.
The highlight of the collection are two jade bangles. Traditionally, brides would wear a bangle on each hand — a symbol of grace, protection, and completeness. Because this is a collection that we designed with brides in mind, we wanted to subtly nod to that custom. Two bangles isn’t just luxury — it symbolises balance and legacy.

Why Jade Bangles Matter for Brides
In Asian traditions, jade is more than a gemstone. It is believed to embody protection, harmony, and prosperity, making it one of the most treasured heirlooms a bride can receive. By introducing jade bangles into this bridal collection, we honour this lineage while reimagining it for a new generation. Each piece is both heirloom and adornment, carrying forward ancestral love while celebrating new beginnings.
For All Of Us: No Matter Where We Come From
The Jade Clover Collection was created for all of us who walk through life with grace and purpose — no matter where she comes from.
She may be wanting to remember her ancestors’ traditions. Or, she may be building new traditions of her own. Either way, she understands that the most powerful symbols are the ones that live beyond a single culture — the ones we recognise without explanation.
This collection is our ode to that — to beauty that’s shared. To timeless, jaw-dropping beauty, reimagined for a new generation.
Welcome to the Jade Clover Collection. Welcome to a new chapter of Choo Yilin.
